A ski race that's really a poker game that's really a ski tour, that's only really kind of a race…don't forgoet …there is a BEST COSTUME category!

Here is how it goes: Hook up with a buddy (teams of two), and ski tour along a predetermined course via map, stop in at the 5 check points and get your ID card stamped.

Get to the finish and hand in your ID card. You will draw cards for every check point you made it to. In the end and the top 3 hands win the Poker Run. OK… we had to add a speed component so…the fastest team gets a 6th wild card. In case of a tie, we will cut the deck, highest card wins.

All decisions made by the hard-ass judges are Final! Latest possible return time: 2:00 pm. First team to the finish receives a wildcard to put towards their hand.  Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony around 3:30ish at Whitewater's Base Lodge. You must be present to win the amazing prizes!!

Ante Up!! Race Element: At the top of the pitch of lower Motherlode, you will see a Slalom Race Course. Each member of your team races through the course and the team with the lowest combined time receives a wildcard!

Mandatory Equipment: This event leaves the ski area boundary, each participant will be required to carry avalanche safety equipment for the duration of the event. This includes an avalanche shovel, a probe, and a working beacon.
NOTE:  You are required to wear the same gear for the entirety of the event, for both the ski tour element and the race portion.

Mandatory Meeting: Its complicated! All participants must meet at 9 am at the YURT!

Event Start: 10 am from the top of Summit Chair.

Categories & Prizing: The pot-odds makes this one a no-brainer…our awesome sponsors will be providing a jackpot of prizing for category winners and lucky raffle winners. Join us for the awards on Sunday at Whitewater's base lodge at 3:30ish
